Positive Pocket
I wish I could blog every day! There are so many great resources for pre-teens, sometimes coming from the most unexpected places. In this case, I was in Boca Raton, Florida reading the Boca Magazine while sitting poolside.
In the midst of lots of fluff, I stumbled upon an article about a middle school girl named Becca who created these positive pocket cards. They are little cards that encourage people to hang in there, using positive psychology. You can put them in your pocket and discreetly pull them out for a little burst of encouragement. Better yet, they are FREE! (I just ordered mine).
And it's so cool that they were made by a pre-teen girl!!

There's a ton of articles about this and you can find the links via her website. Also, she did a ted talk. Here's the link: http://www.tedxdelraybeach.com/portfolio/rebecca-zerbo/#
